Rocket Racing LeagueŽ PARTNERS WITH REALITY POWERHOUSE A. SMITH & CO. PRODUCTIONS

Seeking to reach millions of racing enthusiasts, action sports fans and aeronautics aficionados, the Rocket Racing LeagueŽ (RRL) has partnered with A. Smith & Co., the production powerhouse responsible for the hits "Celebrity Duets," "Hell's Kitchen," "Skating with Celebrities," "The Swan" and "Paradise Hotel," among many others. The production company - headed by television veteran and former head of Fox Sports Net Arthur Smith - has signed an exclusive overall production deal with the Rocket Racing LeagueŽ. A. Smith & Co. will be the sole producers of any and all RRL properties. The RRL, which aims to debut its first races in late Fall 2007, is a first-of-its-kind aerospace sports and entertainment league that combines the competition of racing with the excitement of rocketry.

"When we looked at the short list of those who know the intricacies of both large-scale sports production and reality-type shows, Arthur Smith was #1 on our list. After we met with him and his company and saw that they got the concept, and fast, we knew there was no better choice," stated RRL president and CEO Granger Whitelaw. Smith has already been "invaluable" in the early development of the league, says Whitelaw, visualizing how the races might be best structured and shot in order to make them a compelling viewer experience. "We're honored to have him and his company as a partner and know that they will be integral to the success of the league."

Arthur Smith, CEO of A. Smith & Co., began his production career at CBC Network Sports in Canada, producing and directing major worldwide sporting events including three Olympic Games, facilitating his promotion to president of CBC Sports by the age of 28. In Los Angeles he produced and executive produced myriad projects as senior vice president of Dick Clark Productions (e.g., "The USA Music Challenge," "When Stars Were Kids") before filling a similar post at MCA Television Group. Smith joined Fox as executive vice president of programming, production and news and launched it into the cable sports arena with Fox Sports network, executive producing more than 4,500 events and thousands of original hours of programming each year.

"Given my past at Fox, CBC Sports and in my own company, I've heard many sports concepts, but from the moment I learned about the RRL I saw tremendous potential and knew I had to be involved," said Smith. "It infuses the excitement of traditional racing with a 21st century sensibility: from an incredible live grandstand experience and compelling television stories to a wealth of Web tie-ins and sponsorship opportunities. It's so futuristic, but the RRL proves that the future is now."
